Kick-Ass 2 Movie Red Mist as the Villain

Mark Millar has been talking about the movie sequel Kick-Ass 2:

Red Mist surviving, becoming the super-villain was always planned, but the idea was that he was going to be a more minor character in the first film. Then we saw what Christopher Mintz-Plasse was capable of! Also, I really like the idea of somebody who people were relaxed watching on screen doing horrible things… the second movie, it’s going to get very, very dark what goes on with him…So the idea of McLovin’ and the fun Red Mist doing something horrible is genuinely quite disturbing when you see it happen. We couldn’t have got away with that with another actor. The minute we saw his performance, we were looking at each other and realised how good he was and what we could do with him in the future…

Red Mist going rogue would kind of make sense indeed since he's the son of the first movie's villain Frank d'Amico.

Hollywood welcomes new talents, always looking for new sources of inspiration. And comic book author Mark Millar's creation is like a bonanza for the studios. The movie Wanted adapted from one of his creations was a huge blockbuster. Right now Kick-Ass is being adapted into a movie under the direction of Matthew Vaughn. And the movie isn't released yet that there are talks of movie sequel to Kick-Ass!

Mark Millar has been talking about this potential Kick-Ass 2 movie recently during an interview:

"Wanted made $350 million. So that was the thing that opened the doors. I didn't expect that. For some reason I just assumed, "Oh, yeah, this will come out and do OK. If I get another movie at some point, wonderful." But what happened very quickly was that several of the titles got picked up to be made into movies. Kick-Ass. War Heroes. I'm doing American Jesus. Kick-Ass 2 is already being plotted out. We're planning it, because all the actors are quite young and we have to make it relatively quickly. So we'll definitely do that inside the next 18 to 24 months."

This probably means that Actor Aaron Johnson will be back as teenager Dave Lizewski aka Kick-Ass, the young foolhardy superhero.

Must be good news but let's see first how the first Kick-Ass movie will perform.

From what I heard the first Kick-Ass movie would be tamed down compared to the original comic book. So the movie Kick-Ass 2 could give an occasion to fix this!
